Phospholipids

Phospholipids are important molecules that make up the outer layer of our cells. They have a head that likes water and two tails that don’t like water. This means they can form a barrier that keeps the inside of the cell safe and protected.

Phospholipids also act as messengers in our bodies, telling our cells what to do and helping to keep things running smoothly. Some types of phospholipids can even help protect our liver and improve our cholesterol levels.
