Kinase

Kinases are like the managers in our body’s cells. They tell other parts of the cell what to do. They do this by adding a tiny thing called a phosphate group to other proteins. This is like giving them a badge that says “You’re on duty now!” or “Your shift is over.” This process, known as phosphorylation, can turn proteins on or off, just like a light switch. This is super important because it helps our cells respond to what’s happening around them and keep everything running smoothly. So, in a nutshell, kinases are the bosses that help keep our cells in line!
